The ACS & AIChE are meeting together in New Orleans in March.  CHAS has
agreed to present some papers in AIChE safety sessions related to Lab 
and
Pilot Plant safety.  Things that will be of interest will include 
scale-up
issues, reactive hazards, and teaching safety related to industrial and
pilot plant operations.

The American Society of Safety Engineers encourages you to submit a 
proposal
to speak at the 2008 Professional Development Conference in Las Vegas,
Nevada. The Call for Presenters information is available online, 
including a
sample proposal, guidelines and other information useful in submitting 
your
proposal.

The deadline to submit proposals is JULY 31, 2007.
