The big ones make the news, although most are not lab-related: https://ehsdailyadvisor.blr.com/2019/10/epa-deals-out-big-fines-in-q3/

There have been posts on this list of EPA fines at labs ranging from $25K to hundreds of thousands for waste violations.   The school I was working at had ten 5-gallon metal cans of waste sitting in an analytical lab (excessive and metal not appropriate), and two of them were leaking when the EPA inspector arrived-.

A quick web search on EPA laboratory fines:

Hi, all,

One of our department members asked me this question,
"At my internship at Genentech in San Francisco I learned that if you do not put a start date on your sharps box it is a $1,000 fine.  I was hoping to find a list of more fine of this nature for the knowledge of our lab."

In person, she told me that making it this concrete helped a lot.  I believe she meant in terms of motivation and prioritization.

Any specific sites or sources to look at for these values would be a huge help,
Thanks,
