Subject: New Subdivision

Hello fellow CHAS members,

As the newest subdivision to the Division of Chemical Health and Safety, the Cannabis Chemistry Subdivision would like introduce ourselves and give those interested the opportunity to get involved. Abbreviated as CANN, our group is composed of scientists in the cannabis industry and aims to promote health and safety in this evolving industry. We plan to do so by providing programming for symposia, hosting networking events and generating special content to improve the common knowledge with regard to Cannabis.

As CHAS members, CANN membership is free. Simply call or write ACS member services and request to become a member of CANN with code G29. Call 800-333-9511 (US); +614-447-3776 (Outside the US); or email service**At_Symbol_Here**acs.org to support us by joining at no cost.

We welcome the guidance of more experienced ACS members as we are largely a group of chemists new to the inner workings of CHAS and the ACS.

Recently we have been given the opportunity to represent the ACS on a popular website called Reddit.com in their question and answer series known as AMA. For those unfamiliar, an AMA on Reddit is an ‰??Ask Me Anything‰?? forum open to the general public and usually hosted by organizations, celebrities, or experts in specific field. The ACS has a continuous slot already for a variety of subjects. We hope that our AMA will serve to benefit the common knowledge in addition to advertise our organization and the work being done. Participation will become available on Dec. 22 at 8AM Eastern Standard Time. There will be a 4hr period after which we will respond. If anyone feels that they can contribute to the discussion of answers, some of which may very well be regarding consumer safety and QA/QC, please contact me directly to be added to the list.

Moreover we are proud to call ourselves a part of CHAS and hope that our subdivision can be of benefit to members.

For more information regarding membership, the AMA or how you might become an active member please contact us at CANN**At_Symbol_Here**DCHAS.ORG

Sincerely,

Ezra Michael Pryor
