Subject: Job Search for Chemical Engineer in DC Metro Area

--000e0cd63c0ac6fb18047d374e4d

Hello Everyone, This is a bit nontraditional but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. I relocated to Northern Virginia in June 2009 and have been looking for a job ever since. I've applied to a tons of places (4 to 5 good matches per day on an average) and still haven't had much luck. This is another mode I thought I'd try, to see if anyone has any suggestions about possible fields or companies or openings I could look at. I am looking for a challenging job opportunity in the DC Metro area that I can turn into a career. I love science and am always willing to learn more n more about different fields or skills I can acquire. I graduated from Stony Brook University, NY in December 2007 with a B.E. in Chemical and Molecular Engineering and also have a specialization in Business Management and Technology Transfer. I am really hardworking quick learner and work great in teams as well as independently. I worked as a Metallurgical Engineer at a steel plant in Steelton, PA from June 07 - Mar 09 and have to relocate to Virginia due to Marriage. I have experience working in research, laboratory as well as an industrial setting. I have technical writing experience and also have been trained in OSHA and CEDAC. My educational background encompasses courses like Fluid Mechanics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Chemical Kinetics, Process Engineering and Design, Rates of reaction, Thermodynamics , Engineering Economics and Technical Writing. I can have my resume and any other information available if there is an opening that you think I would be a good match for. I am a US citizen so will not be requiring visa or sponsorship. I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate any help or suggestions. Sincerely Harsimran Ahuja (Simran) --000e0cd63c0ac6fb18047d374e4d
