Subject: Contact Congress Now! Green Chemistry Needs Support

Date: May 12, 2010 2:28:25 PM EDT

Dear Legislative Action Network Member:

Today, Representative Phil Gingrey (R-GA) will be offering an amendment on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to the reauthorization of the America COMPETES Act that will create a green chemistry research program at the National Science Foundation. This bipartisan amendment establishes a new federal green chemistry program which will coordinate and fund green chemistry research.  Just link below to urge your member of Congress to support this amendment.

This amendment follows on the heels of legislation, the Green Chemistry Research and Development Act, which has passed the House of Representatives in the last three Congresses. It is critical to continue to let Congress know of your support for green chemistry so members of Congress will take time to support this important amendment--link here.

Thank you,

Brad
