Subject: Contact your Senators--Green Chemistry Needs Your Support

From the ACS Legislative Action Network; this seems particularly
apropos to Chemical Health and Safety.

Dear LAN Member:

In late September, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1215, the
Green Chemistry Research and Development Act. This bipartisan
legislation establishes a new federal, inter-agency, green chemistry
R&D program; however, the Senate must pass similar legislation before
this bill can become law.

As the 109th Congress rapidly comes to a close, we urge you to ask
your senators to pass this legislation. Even if it doesn't pass this
year, constituent action will help the scientific community to
advocate on behalf of it next year.

Just link to http://www.chemistry.org/government/lac, and click on
"Green Chemistry Needs Your Support." Thank you for your support.
