The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is a professional safety organization. Its members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. Their web site is https://www.asse.org/.
ASSE organizes the committees that develop and maintain several ANSI standards, publishes the final product of these consensus processes, and owns the copyright to these standards. Examples of those most germane (relevant) to hazardous materials are:
ASSE is also represented on other consensus standard committees such as the NFPA Technical Committee which handles NFPA 30 - Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
