Third vote for PSI caps. You have to buy direct from the manufacturer with a minimum amount, which for most Universities is a lifetime supply. I quizzed sales reps for the big scientific suppliers and they had no alternatives.

We did a "leak" test and filled two 4-L bottles with water and laid one on its side and one inverted for 24 hours with no leaking. My waste vendor will lab pack the containers without having to replace the caps.

Yep, PSI is the way to go. I bought my caps about 5 years ago....at the time, I believe there was a minimum purchase of around 1000.....

External.

I'm searching the web for a vented cap for chemical waste bottles without much luck. Does anyone have a site that they use to shop for these?

Thanks for any information on this.
