UC Santa Cruz EH&S is excited to recruit our newest team member to focus on field safety, along with comprehensive research safety program support. The Research Safety Specialist will conduct outreach to departments with active field programs and support researchers with risk assessments, potential hazard mitigations, and field safety plan development. This position will also support the following core research safety programs: biosafety administration, chemical inventory, hazardous waste collection, drones, and PPE distribution.

This is a great opportunity for any field researcher interested in promoting field safety, while gaining experience with the varied responsibilities of research-related EH&S support. Full job description and application details can be found on the UCSC Staff Employment Opportunities website (https://jobs.ucsc.edu/, search for Job Number: 1909213).

Thanks,

Steve
