Dear All:

The ACS Office of Industry Member Programs (IMP) is partnering with the ACS Safety Programs team on several projects. Of particular interest to both the Division of Chemical Health & Safety and the ACS Committee on Chemical Safety is a project we are launching to pull together a library of “Safety Moments.”

Our idea is that we would curate these and make them available to our members. In particular, some of you may be aware that IMP has re-launched a newsletter specifically aimed at our members who work in industry, ACS Industry Matters (https://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/industry/industry-matters.html). Although Industry Matters is currently published biweekly, it will be switching to weekly in July and we would like to include a safety moment in each issue. Towards this end we are reaching out to the broader ACS health and safety community, particularly the DivCHAS ListServe, to provide materials to build up a library of Safety Moments. In addition, we are also hoping to gain more insight into what industrial chemistry topics our members would like our materials to address.

If you are able, we ask that you consider completing the survey, which may be accessed with the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QRKVQGY.  We would like to move with this project rapidly so we would appreciate your response by Monday, July 1.

Please note that published safety moments will not be tied to the individuals who submitted them.

Feel free to reach out to either Tony Noce or Marta Gmurczyk if you have any questions or would like any additional information..

Thank you for your support of this initiative and, in fact, for all that you do.

All the best,

Tony and Marta
