That's the same equipment that is used in engine rooms of ships, especially old ships and subs used in WWII.  We had a Producer wanting to shoot in a decommissioned submarine, and when I investigated what the big red tank was for in the Engine room we required an engineer to check out it's condition and we installed a CO2 alarm during shooting.  Crazy actions during a scene can easily damage items in the area.
