This is a reminder that DCHAS will be co-sponsoring an ACS webinar on October 11 on "Creating a Lab Safety Culture for Industry and Academia". ACS President Dr. Peter Dorhout will host a panel including Dawn Mason of Eastman Chemical, Dominick Casadonte of Texas Tech University and Kali Serrano of the University of Illinois to discuss safety culture opportunities and challenges in industrial and academic laboratories.

At the last update last week, about 500 people had registered for this webinar, which has a maximum capacity of 1000 attendees. So, register soon and arrive early to be sure of a seat!

Details, including a link to the registration page and a downloadable poster to announce this event to your department is available at

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
