There is also an update of the "Safety Guidelines for Chemical Demonstrations" that  was produced by the Safety Committee in the Division of Chemical Education.  The link for this is at: http://www.divched.org/committee/safety

let's hope this reduces these events.  Every science teacher should have a copy and ACS made it free on their site now.  It sure will be exhibit A in the next lawsuit for this type of injury.
