We can't send links but go to her site and half way down in the middle is Chemical Safety Resources and it is the 5th one down.

Subject: Re: [DCHAS-L] [EXTERNAL] - Re: [DCHAS-L] Safety DVD?ACS Starting with Safety is the classic. Flinn Scientific has additional GHS (Global Harmonizing System) presentations. Who says you only do a one shot gun safety approach? We showed the Safety Videos in Lecture and followed up with discussions in lab.

I have also been looking for a more modern version of the ACS "Starting with Safety" video. I believe this video is from 1991 and has never been revised? It is a very good overview of chemical lab safety for incoming general chemistry students in high school or college. I like it because it does not get into the specific details of federal laws or codes. I have looked at a handful of other videos over the years and still find this is the best one for my purposes of training brand new chem lab students. The clothing is outdated, though, and shows its age. I would like a more modern video that covers this video's topics along with stressing the RAMP theory, and other ACS recommended topics for college students, such as proper waste disposal.
Anything out there?

Can anyone recommend a more current and effective lab safety DVD than the American Chemical Society=E2=80™s
"Starting with Safety"? We like to show a video for our lab students at the beginning of each semester. Thank you!
