This article doesn't explicitly mention safety (anymore, after the editing process got it down to the word limit), but one of the ACS's strategic values is "Professionalism, Safety and Ethics" so this article I wrote for inChemistry (ACS's magazine for undergraduate chemistry majors) may be of interest to the list.
