Disclaimer: I am seeking comments about this product that my company sells, so I have a (honestly, rather small) financial interest in it:

I know a lot of folks on DCHAS-L love or have Linda Stroud's Comparison of Eye Protection Options Poster, which you can see here http://www.safetyemporium.com/11020

Linda is moving on from her science and safety consulting business and has graciously entrusted me with the stewardship of this valuable resource.  I am quite honored by this and would like to keep the underlying philosophy of this resource pretty much the same, so we will be using the same set of pictures and keeping the price low to ensure that even cash-strapped schools can afford copies.

I am seeking comments/suggestions from list members with respect to the following questions.  PLEASE RESPOND TO ME OFF-LIST and I will collate the replies and follow up from there:

1. I would like to utilize the existing white space on the poster.  What would you like to see there? Offhand, I see 3 general possibilities. I want to stay away from listing web URL's as those can change after printing:

a) Comments about the protection options (only).
b) A primarily textual summary of best practices
c) Regulatory information (applicable OSHA standards for teachers, for example), care/maintenance etc.

2. The current size is 28" h x 20" w. That may change slightly.  Is there any interest in a smaller size that might be suitable for say, laboratory doors or by eyewear dispensers?

3. These are currently not laminated.  Do you have any interest in a laminated version (or maybe just have lamination on the smaller size), keeping in mind that this will increase the cost (but also the durability).

Any other comments or concerns are also welcome.  Again, PLEASE RESPOND OFF-LIST to info**At_Symbol_Here**ilpi.com.

Thanks,

Rob Toreki

PS: Linda's lab safety manuals are being taken over by her co-author Dr. Ken Roy.  For more on those, see her web site at http://sciencesafetyconsulting.com
