New Orleans National Meeting

The topic for ?Ask Dr. Safety? is ?Integrating Research and
Safety?

Scientists, including Principal Investigators, are
responsible to conduct research in a safe manner. Balancing
research productivity with safety practices is not a
daunting task; safety success leads to improved research
productivity. This open-forum session will engage the
audience and speakers in a conversation addressing the best
practices in integrating research productivity and safe
procedures. Questions that may be addressed include:
? How to motivate students to follow best safety
practices?
? How to be an example to follow?
? How to balance regulatory constraints with
practical work activity?
These and many more questions will be addressed by leading
experts in chemical safety. Come to the session and bring
your questions.

Please go to http://www.acs.org and submit a paper to relate
your experience and insight to accomplishing this
integration.
Abstracts are due by 16 October!

Thank you
