Description
Job Purpose: Maintain tracking system to record and update quantities and usage data on various chemicals employed on campus in compliance with applicable Institute policy and regulatory requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
‰?¢ Monitor and update chemical tracking systems.
‰?¢ Train personnel in chemical tracking and inventory reconciliations.
‰?¢ Print chemical container labels, maintain printers, scanners, computers and other related equipment.
‰?¢ Provide technical assistance as required regarding chemical inventories. Trouble-shoot problems and work with the database vendor to improve system usage efficiencies.
‰?¢ Prepare chemical use reports as required regulatory compliance.
‰?¢ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
‰?¢ Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Applied Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
‰?¢ Work Experience: Four to five years job related experience.
‰?¢ Certifications: N/A
‰?¢ Skills: This job requires working knowledge of chemicals management practices and procedures including establishment and maintenance of applicable records and inventory control processes. Communications skills and use of specialized computer applications and systems is required.
