If you're in the US, you may want to start with http://www.nrc.gov/

Some states manage radioactive material use licenses in place of the NRC; but, the requirements of state programs have to be at least as stringent as federal requirements.

Hi, all,
I am getting ready to start a new job where I will need to deal with radioactive materials. Can anybody direct me to some resources where I can find out about safety rules and regulations for such substances?

Thank you for any help you may offer.
