I will be signing off shortly to take a sabbatical and just wanted to reach out and say thanks for all the great advice and exchanges.  I plan to get back to work November 1 and will sign back on when I return.

In case you are wondering if this leave is for health reasons, the answer is yes.  For starters I am planning a 3 month bicycle ride around Europe which will be good for my health, provided of course that I don’t end up as road kill.  But don’t worry, I have done my risk assessment and concluded that bicycling is still a whole lot safer than hanging out on my sofa, a slow-cook recipe for an early expiry date.

If you are interested in following my trip I have created a closed FB Group, just request to join and I will accept:

Also I have a Twitter feed under the name BicycleRide, hashtag #OADT2016 (Old Age Denial Tour 2016).

My focus will be on checking out the best bicycle infrastructure in the hopes of borrowing ideas we can apply back home and my slant will be Europe as seen through the eyes of a cyclist.

Have a safe and fun summer,

W.
