I‰??ve had a couple of inquiries from colleagues in academic health and safety program about help in finding professional chemists who are interested in talking to chemistry students in higher education about lab safety in the professional laboratory. The idea is similar to Dow‰??s outreach to 3 graduate programs a couple of years ago, but more informal. I‰??m sure that the Division would be glad to help collect names of people who are interested in getting involved in such an effort and serve as a resource for matching those names with colleges and universities in their area.

So if you are a professional chemist who is interested in participating in such an activity, please let me know so we can determine how much interest there is in developing such a program within the Division.

Thanks for any interest in this project.
