We looked at EHS Assist, but decided instead to work with a local software developer, ABC Systems. They are now selling the product nationally as the “EHS Integrator.” See http://ehsis.com/

 

You can buy only the modules you need, but we bought the whole suite. It is quite robust. It seamlessly receives nightly feeds from Yale’s HR, LMS and space management systems. We do inspections on iPads which link directly to the application, in real time. Professors love it because they get the inspection reports instantly, and via a web interface can respond to each finding. Professors also like seeing their entire lab roster (including graduate students, visiting scientists and project undergrads) and the training status of each.

I’m canvassing the list to see what EHS management software you folks are using.  I’m particularly interested in what academic institutions are using to track their training.  If you use EHS Assist, you need not reply because that is the software we ideally want - however our IT department has put the kibosh on that one, saying  they can’t support it because of the platform.
