This three-day hands-on workshop will feature sessions on di=EF=AC=80erent methodologies for infusing green chemistry into chemistry courses, including: implementing industrial case studies in higher education, adopting greener laboratory exercises, green chemistry and toxicology in lecture courses and working sessions on re-designing curricular materials.

Intro to Green Chemistry Workshop:

Transforming high school chemistry to safer, healthier, green(er) chemistry!
August 6th - 8th, 8 AM - 4 PM, at Roxbury Community College
*Limited to MA high school chemistry/science teachers*
FREE to register, but space is limited! Email kate_anderson**At_Symbol_Here**beyondbenign.org if you're interested.

This 3-day workshop focuses on laboratory safety and green chemistry. Green chemistry can be used as a tool to remove hazards and make the laboratory setting a safer place for students and teachers, while at the same time providing context for a subject that is typically very abstract. Learn how to integrate green chemistry practices into your classroom and lab.
