Overview of Position: 
Responsible for the formulation, implementation, control and compliance with EHS&S policies, procedures and regulations. Responsible in designated areas of Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security in a manufacturing environment. 
    
Primary Responsibilities: 
Responsible for compliance in all aspects of the Health, Safety, Environment and Security regulations as well as process safety at the site 
Leads and maintains an integrated management system based on "Responsible Care Management System" from Corporate EHS&S, incl. policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations and guidelines 
Interacts strongly with the Director EHS&S / Process Safety or Regional EHS&S Manager, Plant Managers and the site management team 
Ensures site compliance with national and local EHS&S regulations by maintaining all EHS&S permits, including new permit applications, renewals and modifications 
Ensures that the company personnel are adequately trained with respect to EHS&S matters 
Establish RC / EHS&S goals for the facility and develop programs to achieve the goals 
Reports on an annual/monthly basis Health, Safety and Environment key performance indicators 
Coordinate internal audits as required to ensure the management system is being adequately followed on both sides 
Leads communication on learning from internal and/or external incident investigations and ensure integration of the new learning 
Leads, facilitates and/or participates on Process Hazards Analysis team 
  
  
Job Requirements: 
  
Required Skills and Abilities: 
5-8 years of hands on work experience in chemical manufacturing facility, prior management experience in EHS&S area required 
Solid knowledge of EHS&S law, regulations, standards and permit requirements 
Strong managerial, technical, interpersonal and communication skills 
Proven leadership and influencing skills 
Strong business and EHS&S process orientation 
Analytical skills and experience in Project Management work
