With the Philadelphia meeting coming quickly, let’s see if we can turn the energy in this debate on the role of the UC agreement and development of good safety cultures into something of long term value. As Robin Izzo mentioned in her post this morning the ACS has groups working on tools to strengthen safety programs (training, hazards analysis, etc.).  If you have an idea for something the Division can do that you or other practitioners would find valuable in your goals of strengthen the safety culture in whatever the organization might be, please, send your idea to me. I’ll compile the ideas for discussion during the executive committee meeting in Philadelphia. I’ll also work with Bob Hill to pass any that are more appropriate for the Committee on Chemical Safety to that body.

Feel free to pass these ideas through my direct email address rather than the list server if you would prefer (jeskiekb**At_Symbol_Here**ornl.gov).
