Thanks Stefan - I sent an email out last night to the person with just the recommendation that you stated - Silver Shield with nitrile over it.  When in doubt that is usually where I end up.
Thanks again,
Sammye

All the reference charts I use do not list it;   according to the NIOSH  Emergency Response Safety & Health Database, they do not specify the type of glove, only stating that double gloving is the appropriate  prudent  measure.    I have seen 2 SOP’s  from a University  EH&S  web pages   which recommended using 2 pairs of nitrile gloves.  Another consideration is to use the Silver Shield as an inner glove, and a tight-fitting nitrile as an outer glove for dexterity.          As for permeation data, I have not found anything.

Does anyone have a chart that lists the permeation times for sodium azide?
Thanks,
Sammye
