Let's be clear. The TLVs that are now found as the major portion of the OSHA PELs date from 1968 and really should not be thought of as related to modern TLVs recommended by ACGIH.  ACGIH has a routine process for reviewing their TLVs and updating when they consider it appropriate.  The regulatory overhead and litigious environment, not to mention political winds, that OSHA must deal with has made review, let alone updates, essentially impossible.

The ACGIH has established TLV's which have been adopted by OSHA (PELs).  These are contained in 29CFR 1910.1000

[DCHAS-L] OEL Database query

Dear DHAS members:

I wanted to ask about OEL limits. Within our EHS Dept., We are now
updating out OEL to reflect new chemistry projects and their respected raw
materials (which include solvents).

Does a database exist that I can access to find some of the OEL limits?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
George
