Subject: Limitations on the Use of vacuum lines in labs

Are there any institutions which place limitations on what laboratories can use their “house” vacuum systems for?

Are solvents prohibited to be filtered through funnels using vacuum lines?  Which leads to the question,  what are  the limits placed on using side arm faucets  in sinks to draw a vacuum?

Facilities staff want to know….
