Subject: News release for explosion at U of Missouri

With regard to the news release, "[DCHAS-L] News release for explosion at U of Missouri", there is some very interesting chemistry going on at different levels! It is too bad that such wrong information is released to the general public. What ever happened to basic science that used to be taught in 9th grade? Anyway, the result is that the general cannot tell fact from fiction. Apparently, we are not of much help, either. Where is the written protocol for release of information to the news media? And why is it not checked for facts? Regards, Ernest Lippert
