Thanks to all for your information, very helpful. Russ, I will check out your link and hope to see you in Boston. On another question, does anyone have a job description for a typical chemical hygiene officer? Thanks! I too am an OSHA Outreach trainer. There is also an EPA=A02 hour=A0Asb estos course for Janitorial/Maintainence employees. I have a copy if you wo uld like it. I have taught from this course several times over the last 20 or so years. In order to teach the course, the EPA - like OSHA - would like your trainer to be knowledgeable in the subject matter and able to teach t he material professionally.

Celia -

I'm an OSH A Outreach Trainer and this is the only "official" OSHA presentat ion that I'm aware of for asbestos.
=A0
Go to=A0the li nk below on the OSHA website and you'll get an 80 slide presentation under the Construction Standards. Of those 80, you sh ould be able to pull enough out of there to put together a pretty good Gene ral Industry class that meets OSHA's requirements.

Hope this help s..........
