JCHAS Subscription for 2010

Elsevier, the publisher of JCHAS has increased our cost modestly, so we have increased the cost of JCHAS to $32 for 2010, which is a $1 increase over 2009.  This rate applies to everyone, except our Emeritus Members.

We are providing a subscription to JCHAS to each of our Emeritus Members at no cost in recognition of their contributions and achievements.

Division Expenses

All of the cost of your subscription to JCHAS is used to pay for its publication.  The Division makes no profit on the publication.

All of your dues cover the costs of operating the Division.  All of the Officers and Executive Committee are volunteers and receive no compensation for their hard work.  A small portion of their expenses to attend National Meetings and other required activities is reimbursed by the Division.  For example, the Executive Committee receives reimbursement for their travel expenses to National Meetings and one night lodging and meals.  Registration for the meeting and all other meeting expenses are not reimbursed.  About 90% of our dues income is used to cover these direct expenses.  The remainder covers incidental business expenses incurred to provide the level of service offered to ACS and Division Members.

Thank you for your continued support of CHAS.  If you want more information on dues or finances, please contact me directly or visit our website, www.dchas.org.
