Subject: OSHA and Globally Harmonized System
Comments: To: "C2E2-L: C2E2 discussion list"

Yesterday, OSHA issued the proposed rulemaking to update the Hazard
Communication Standard (HCS) to meet the Globally Harmonized System
(GHS) requirements. You can access it at
http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2009/pdf/E9-22483.pdf.

It is 271 pages long (11.6 Mb), they provide lots of legal and
economic information about the impact the change may have on the
nation=92s business, as well as a list of changes in a variety of other

standards beyond 1910.1200, including the lab standard.

They are looking for comments on any and all aspects of the proposal.
