The Division of Chemical Health and Safety of the ACS has posted two reports prepared by the California Department of Public Health.  One is a factual report based on the Department’s investigation of the UCLA fatality.  The second is a fact sheet on handling pyrophoric liquids.

The documents are at www.dchas.org

These documents have been subjected to stringent review, equivalent to the peer-review process and should be considered authoritative.

If you have discussion regarding these, please post to either the SAFETY or CHAS lists.  If you have technical questions that are more appropriately handled directly, please feel free to email me at neal**At_Symbol_Here**chemical-safety.com

Thank you for your continuing dedication to chemical safety.
