Many of our hoods and enclosures have pressure switches on the blower
intakes that sense a failure. We still check with a velometer each
month and service the systems (belt changes, etc.) every six months
regardless of performance.

early Fume Hood Monitoring-Automated system

 From a safety
standpoint, I would highly recommend a secondary
inspection.

It will not only confirm that your safety controls are functioning

properly, but also make the Students & Faculty more confident in

their working environments.

This should apply in all fac
ilities which utilize ventilated
enclosures, and not specific to-in
this case-Dominican University.

Respectfully,
