Subject: Reaction info for students

A friend who teaches 8th grade science has a project for her students
described below. She's looking for some reference materials for them.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. You can respond to me and I'll
forward them to her.

My students have just started the chemistry unit. There is a final
project due at the end of the unit where the students have to find a
real world example of a chemical reaction. However, we're only learning
about 4 types of reactions (synthesis, decomposition, single
replacement, double replacement); so they are slightly limited.
Ultimately, the students will present their reaction and an example the
significance of the reaction in the real world, along with a bunch of
other info. The first deadline that the students have is to find a
reaction in the real world and know what type of reaction it is. Being
that I teach 8th graders, I wanted to provide them with some resources
that could help them find applications of reactions. Do you know of any
good website, books, or other resources that I could provide them with?
Any suggestions you may have will be extremely helpful!

Thanks,
