Dear Colleagues:

I have recently been contacted by a member of the Committee on Community
Activities (CCA). To celebrate National Chemistry Week's (NCW) 20th
Anniversary and its theme "The Many Faces of Chemistry", which focuses on
chemistry and its many careers along with the diverse people in those
careers, CCA would like tofeature a chemist on the NCW website on a
biweekly basis starting in April.

They have asked me to identify a member of CHAS to be featured on their
web site and to send his/her name to them as soon as possible. Once our
member has been identified, an ACS staff member will directly contact the
individual.

I do not wish to arbitrarily choose this individual, and so I seek your
help in a democratic process.

I ask that you nominate someone via private email to me at bfoster**At_Symbol_Here**wvu.edu
by March 1, 2007.

I will forward the name of the individual who garners the most votes to
the CCA. It is imperative that I receive your nomination by March 1.

I thank you in advance for your assistance with this important matter.

Best regards,
Barbara L. Foster
