Subject: ACS comments on EPA proposed lab waste rule
Comments: cc: Robert Rich

The ACS' Task Force on Laboratory Environment, Health & Safety has
completed a comment letter on the EPA's proposed rule for management
of academic lab wastes. The letter has been submitted to the EPA
docket, so you can download it by searching appropriately at http://
www.regulations.gov (you're looking for Docket ID EPA-HQ-
RCRA-2003-0012) or directly from the Committee on Chemical Safety's
web site at
(http://membership.acs.org/c/ccs/) and looking under "What's New" or
clicking on "Publications." A direct link to the PDF File is at:
http://tinyurl.com/nkdjz

As Peter Reinhardt noted in his recent e-mail, the number of comments
on a rule does Make a Difference, so the Task Force encourages anyone
interested in better management of chemical wastes in laboratory to
look at the comments already entered and indicate support or dissent
from them or enter your own comments. It is easy to do, once you've
found the docket above.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
