And thanks again for everyone's input!  I had asked this question 
because our architects had initially placed the showers and eyewashes in 
the halls, and I was looking for your opinions/experiences to use during 
meetings that we had this morning (I already had my OSHA/ANSI support 
sheet prepared). 

FYI, we will be placing the showers & eyewashes in the labs.  This is 
where I and the faculty want them and, as some of your responses 
indicated, I too feel that this complies much better with ANSI 
Z358.1-2004.
