Ken Fivizzani, the Chair of the ACS Committee on Chemical Safety and past Chair of DivCHAS published an excellent opinion article (C&EN Nov. 29, 2004, page 33) that I strongly recoomend to everyone on this list. The URL is http://pubs.acs.org/isubscribe/journals/cen/82/i48/html/8248acscomment.html Ken addresses an issue that has irked many of us and really goes to the perception of a safe work environment - corporate photos showing unsafe acts, such as being in a lab or plant w/o eye protection. Ken once again is showing his excellent leadership - and diplomacy - in publishing this comment. I appreciate this fine effort and hope we all can take his wise words and share them with management at each of our facilities.
