Do we want to do a membership panel and have it co-sponsored with YCC,
WCC, and Div PR?

The idea would be to do a 1.5 hour panel discussion - I will volunteer
to moderate - say at either the end of the day Monday or Tuesday - which
ever day the social is. I would like to have members of the division
sit on the panel to discuss the adventures in Chemical Health and Safety
-

So how is this for a title? Escapades and Adventures - An exploration
of career paths in Chemical Health and Safety

Hi CHAS members,

Thank you all so much for your very helpful response to the earlier call
for papers for the Safety in Arts and Entertainment symposium at the
Anaheim ACS meeting, we received many helpful suggestions and god papers
(although we can always use a few more). Just so everyone knows, CHAS
is still accepting papers (until 12/5/03). In particular, if anyone
would like to present on the subject of teaching safety (in an academic
or non-academic setting), safety in arts and entertainment, measurement
and benchmarking related to EH&S or talk about interesting emergency
response issues, they should contact me directly
(jim**At_Symbol_Here**chemical-safety.com) - PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THE LIST.
Unfortunately, CHAS cannot offer financial support for speakers.

All I need are a proposed title, a 50 - 100 word abstract and your
complete contact information.

Even if you are not interested in presenting, I hope you will fit CHAS
programming into your busy conference agendas. The division gets some
financial support based on attendance and the more people that attend
our sessions, the better locations we are able to get for CHAS
programming.

On a related note, if anyone has any suggestions for programming for
future meetings (or if you feel CHAS programming at National meeting is
not meeting your needs), please let me know, or plan on attending the
programming lunch (held Monday afternoon at every National meeting).
More information will be available as we get closer.

Thank you in advance for your interest, and please let me know (off
list) if you have any questions or comments - Jim
