The Laboratory Safety Institutes invites applications for the position of Training Services Assistant Manager.

The Training Services Assistant Manager will be responsible for marketing, planning arranging, advertising, and presenting LSI seminars and short courses. In addition to training programs, the Training Services Assistant Manager will conduct audits/inspections and prepare related reports. It is expected that the successful applicant will spent 50% of her/his time providing LSI services and 50% working in our Natick office. 

LSI is the nation's only nonprofit organization whose mission is to make health and safety an integral and important part of science education. We
're looking for someone who believes in our mission; really enjoys and is effective as a presenter/trainer; enjoys travel, long days and doing more than is expected.

LSI is committed to creating a work environment that is fun. We enjoy our work and work hard to make it an enjoyable and fun experience. While this position is intended to be full time, applicants wishing to begin on a part-time basis with the intention of increasing to full time will be considered. Starting compensation will include wages in the range of $35-
40K (depending on background and experience) and a wide range of benefits.

Bachelors degree or formal four-year training program in biology, chemistry or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred. Two to five years experience with the design and implementation of lab safety programs, preferably at an academic or research facility.  Requires knowledge of lab safety standards and regulations. Requires familiarity with business software applications.  Excellent communication skills and computer experience. Valid driver's license required.
